origami love

another "ever since I was a kid" thing
do have a lot of those?
something you have always loved?

folding a flat square of paper and turning it into a bird is a particular kind of miracle

(teabag paper soaked in beeswax, then folded, then reheated to meld the wax even further)
*
"meld" - that word always makes me think of Spock
:)

Gosh, I haven't done origami birds in years. I think I forgot how. Yours are lovely Kimmie.

I like the idea of the addded wax and of heating it after folding, I imagine it makes the birds feelmore solid.
Live long and prosper:)

They are lovely. Bet they smell real nice too with the beeswax. You think of Spock with meld and I think of "mind your own beeswax" every time I hear beeswax. Funny the things our minds pull out. :)

Mind melding awesomeness I would say. I have no capacity for origami, glad to watch you do it.....and see the prettiness hanging out in your house. xox

Have you seen the new Star Trek movie? I loved it! And, I love your birds. I'm intrigued by origami and spent the better part of an afternoon months back with one sick daughter folding up all kinds of creations from an old origami calendar that an older daughter had never used. Of course your wax takes it to higher level.

This is a little moment of synchronicity, Kim. I am lucky enough to have a string of your tea bag cranes hanging in my studio. I was just thinking yesterday that I would love to have two more strings to hang in my window, and how much I love them. I often check if they are in your etsy shop. And here you go, celebrating their beauty and the joy you have in making them !
Love that !
Happy folding and melding !
